Corrections

Every reference site gets something wrong eventually. What matters is what happens next.

The policy in short

If a page states something that is wrong, it gets fixed as soon as we can confirm the error. Substantive corrections are recorded here. Typos, broken links and clarifications that do not change the meaning are fixed quietly.

A correction is substantive when a reader who acted on the old text would have done the wrong thing: a wrong threshold, a wrong legal position, a step in the wrong order, a claim that turned out to be false.

How a correction is recorded

  1. The article is fixed and its "Updated" date changes.
  2. A line is added to the log below: the date, the page and what changed.
  3. If the error could have caused harm, for example in a security or payments article, a note stays on the article itself for a while so returning readers see it.

Reporting an error

Email hello@gojumbogpt.com with the address of the page and, if you can, the specific sentence. Corrections from readers who work in the field are especially welcome. You do not need to be polite about it, you just need to be specific.

Nothing has been corrected yet. This page is published from the start so that the commitment exists before the first mistake does, rather than being invented after it.
